every time i try install bf it says something like sound1 is wrong insert disk1 (  but i allready installed disk1 and was on disk 2) so i and it says error. anybody know?

Never heard of that.  My guess would be to completely uninstall everything and try again, but I'm guessing you've already done that.  Try restoring your computer to a date when you know for sure it was working.  I bet Loaded would be good at answering this question though, he likes this stuff...

Try this

Start>Run>Regedit>HKEY_LOCAL_MAC HINE>Software>EAGames and see if its deleted there.

sorry to reopen this but i have another sound problem i reinstalled it and when its reinstalling it stops
60%- C:\...\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Archives\sound.rfa

and sorta freezes my computer and when it finally cancels it says The wrong volume is in the drive. Please insert volume BF1942_1 into drive E:.

so it might be the same problem as before but i do not know how i solved the earlier one.

and help would be nice.

stick the disk in your ass. :p reboot, unistall, reboot, reinstall.
