Mommas server could run rings around most, boners love and tlc means system wide changes and process, ntr "needed to run" elimination of useless loads, .dll,.vxd,.ini,.exe,.mse,.msi...

I also added memory funneling, and cpu awareness to hyper structure calls.

That means mommas server will perform as good if not better than a dual xeon :) I also added an 0xreg 15xreg computation to insure the throughout of HT calls :) That means the cpu can actively split single threads to the 15x and leave the 0x open to  non thread calls :) I loves my skills :)

Momma will love her new server, And I know if she had the pipe we could run 5 servers off it without her even knowing it :D I built it bone tough! and I stand behind my work!

W00t nice work bone, just a question, why didn't you use a cheap core 2 duo, I don't know how they perform when put in a server, but I reckon if you get a cheap one (they are very cheap atm) overclock it to 3,2 ghz and put all that stuff you mentioned above on it, it will outrun your P4. But I guess my way of thinking is wrong lol.

Btw, I think the new Harpertown based CPU's will smoke it lol! :P

in servers, i don't think overclocking is that good of an idea, another thing is what the server is going to be used for, for example a mail server won't be requiring too much cpu, as to where a gaming server will require a fast cpu to perform smoothly.

Seems to be good setup nice work Bone.

Me? That Rosewill PSU that I assume came with the case "must" be removed, it is a far cry from a "High end 500watt power supply"... Unless you did already remove it, because the PSU in the box says it is a 400 watt unit.

ChrisDaKilla.. . I am with you on that, I would never OC a server. If you want the speed, then get the CPU that will give you that speed at stock settings.

Good job Bone!!! I'm sure it will be an excellent server for her for a long time. Just hate that it's going to be wasted doing taxes. LOL JK

Sorry meant 400 watt :D and that is a $$ power supply, sucker has a good weight to it. Again a dutchie thinks going all out is the best idea lol. But they will learn that dual core has to be supported by the application running to use it lol. The 3.2 HT Will have a better use in this server environment ;) If it was a render farm dual or quad core for sure, 2 to 4 users using office 2007, and tax software a 3.2 is more than enough.

Its a good power supply, not a cheap one and not a high price one but a perfect one for this server.
