Title: Medics aim to cheat death . ( Telomerase ) ( Anti - Aging - Immortality Theme )
Post by: IcE^_ on May 24, 2009, 11:50:14 AM
can we be immortal ? : http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/590535.stm

and the question is :   yes we can !

Telomers << Telomerase >> (DNA endings), which are the main cause of aging of our cells, because they shorten in each cell division, will be reprogrammed by viral gene therapy.

but there's only one problem :

If we did not die , Earth in future will be a << Bordello >>

bordello = overpopulation =  a jungle  of tolerance .

so Peoples will live more than 100 years as a standard.

not for ever .

Why not invest your time into proper puncuation, instead of how medical professionals are trying to make a mutant humans?

Nah jk, nice find. Nice to know my generation has no need to worry about overpopulation ... that's the next generations problem, just like global warming. OWNED

I don't know why you would want to be 100+.. You would be a prune.

Well if they find a way to slow the aging process, then you would still be "healthy" when you're that old.

The planet can't support people living 30 years older, so I don't see why they would want us to live longer.

They will probably have to start killing us when we're 40 eventually like in that one old film :P

Population control like in china.

We do it to Animals.

Oh there over 100 bears in the forest time to go kill them so the 100thousand human populatio  isn't effected.

whatever stuff they come up with better be fricken strong.  you gotta realize our bodies arent meant to withstand that many years of gravity pulling at every inch of us.

Gravity is actually beneficial and harmful to the Human Race, Without gravity our body would not function right which is why astronauts have a hard time staying in space because of bone loss and other health issues due to no gravity. However, gravity is what keeps our atmosphere on Earth. Air is needed in order to survive, however over long periods of breathing air is what makes us old, giving us wrinkles and health issues.

no gravity = no air = we die.
gravity = breathable air on Earth = we die over a period of time.

Oh wait, you are in Foxes, you're dumb.
Agreed. Our bodies can withstand the constant gravity on Earth and unless you post an article from a reliable source, I say that Bob's "opinion" is false.

you guys are really good at taking things out of perspective. i never said we could live without gravity, all i said was that gravity is a factor in aging and our bodies, as amazing as they are, cannot hold up against it as we grow older. thats why we get wrinkles and stuff.

and whoops is absolutely right. Our bodies do need gravity to survive on earth. i dont have time to go into it right now but here's a few links if anyone cares.

http://www.csr.utexas.edu/grace/education/activities/pdf/Gravity_and_Human_Body.pdf

http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2001/ast02aug_1.htm

https://www.nonipsnotucks.com/cms/Homepage-Gravity.asp

so we're both right in ways. and both wrong in ways.

Haven't you played on a no gravity server?  It's hard to control yourself.
