Very cool indeed.
Had an experience this weekend with one of those aircraft.
I couldn't tell you exactly what it was, i'm guessing F-18 or F-22
I was in Myrtle Beach South Carolina and and I was taking pictures of the Ocean from my hotel balcony and I heard this thunderous roar, naturally I ducked, then a second later I saw two fighter jets fly about 500 yards in front of my balcony with their canopy turned at the hotel.
You talk about a scary ass sound. Now I know how our enemy's feel... well, at least before they get blown all to hell by one of those bad boys.
It's odd how one symbol can inspire some and scare the shit out of others.
After they flew by and I realized what it was only one thing came to mind to say...
Well, two things.
The first, "Holy Shit!"
The second, "USA, USA, USA!"

and i can imagine this sound balth.
but i think there was 1 more thing that scared the most ppl alot more - the katyusha
my grandfather was in the german army during WWII (he was also in stalingrad, died over poland cause they flaked his plane down). before he died, he also had to fight vs russian troops. he told my dad, that the most terrible thing was the psycho-war the russians made with the katyushas.
the howling of 100 katyushas starting from the trucks, behind a hill, far away, u can just see the lightning, this special, high pitched hailing...
ofc i wasn´t able to hear this story from his own words, but i can totaly imagine how he felt.
and no, my grandfather wasn´t a nazi cause he liked it, he just had to fight for the army like many others too. so "ur grandfather was a nazi"-comments aren´t needed. - i´m not proud of what he has done (involuntarily), but i can´t change it, i simply have to take it how it is.
back @ topic: i would take the thunderbirds, they just look insane ;D

nowadays its crap, thats right.
in the past it was crap too, but the ppl had a complete diff view.
they had no work, hitler gave them work.
they had nothing to do, hitler gave them things to do. yes, the thing was war and it was definitely not needed.
but hitler was an asshole and that´s it.
