im looking into getting a car and i have a vin number of a car i would like to look at getting but i only want to pay for the carfax report if i really have to. so could any one look up the vin number for me and tell me whats wrong with it. (screen shot or something)

thanks dune but i was wanting the next step where it tells you what those 23 reports mean, and i could get them but i dont want to have to pay for it. I thought maybe someone already subscribed to carfax and could run this vin number

  Actually that isn't true.  They put on the different states that it was registered at along with other data, but I am sure that it was in an crash or 15.

Most cars have been in an accident.  Just check to see if it has had any body frame damage.

You need to find someone who has access to (NICB) National Insurance Crime Bureau.  That will give you all the information you need on the vehicle.  It will tell you if there has ever been an insurance claim on the vehicle.  I wish I could help you out, but I don't have access to it anymore.

I've been driving for 11 years and never made an insurance claim so thats not gonna tell you everything. I've been in a multitude of scrapes and bumps but always arranged to settle the damage costs without involving insurance companys. As soon as you claim, you lose your no claims bonus and your premiums go way up so its basically beneficial for both parties involved in an accident in the end to decide who was to blame and simply pay for their repair bill.
