This all started back when [DOA] was formed last March/April because *MAFIA* made a secret hangar in the Phillipines. Blacksheep and Programmer thought it was stupid and unfair, and they wanted to create a clan and a server that was all about having fun. Then X1 and Jason(ThrillKill) joined [DOA], both people who hated *MAFIA*, recruited people off of OUR server and encouraged them to dislike us. A little bit of a "rivalry" started. Then things cooled down and we seemed to leave each other alone. Then it came to a point where we were friends.
But recently, stupid things started happening. For those of you who have know clue whats going on (lucky you), I'll sum it up: A number of our players don't like [DOA] and a good number of them don't like *MAFIA*. A select few of our members decided it'd be funny to post porn, spam ventrilo, blast music, cuss people out, blah blah blah to [DOA] on their forum, ventrilo, and game server. Some of their players come to ours and do it back, although not as harsh.
Now its come to the point where [DOA] wants to ban those guys, and possibly even press charges. They could be trying to scare us off, but from what I've heard, I think they're actually for real. It started off with them wanting to ban us all (and I know most of you could care less), and them suspending or even kicking out their OWN members who came on our ventrilo, forum, or server. Things have cooled down, however, and now they'll let their members talk to us, and they'll let SOME of us come over to their stuff.
Their point of view is:
- one *MAFIA* member represents all
- if a *MAFIA* member does something bad somewhere else, its the *MAFIA* admins job to control it or to discipline it
Our point of view is:
- one clan member represents themself, not the entire clan
- if a *MAFIA* members decides to be a jerk on other forums, ventrilos, servers, aim, msn messenger, or even in real life, then thats their business and it has nothing to do with us
We understand each other's views and opinions, but we just don't agree.
I've been going through this for over a month now. Here is what I have concluded -- A few of you here in *MAFIA* hate [DOA], or at least some of their members, and will do anything you can to make them mad. You think its funny, even though you know its immature. But you've done enough, you've accomplished your goal, congratulation s. Its over, so please leave them alone. Find something else to do with your time. We here at *MAFIA* are not going to tell you what to do or try to control you, but we do ask that you respect each other.
Yeah some of the people in [DOA] are still stupid and ignorant and come to our forum/ventrilo/server to try to bother us, but here's what you do - tell Blacksheep, and he will take care of them for you, either suspending them or kicking them out. Thats better than trying to make them all mad, and you're still getting back at that person. Of course you can't just make stuff up, it must be legit.
So, in conclusion, I am ASKING that you guys stop. You don't have to, the choice is yours. You can be like Loaded and tell me to STFU and that I'm full of garbage, I don't care, go ahead and do it, it won't bother me. I guess there are 3 things that'll happen:
1. You can please try to ignore them and forget about them forever.
2. If you do go over there, its ok to talk trash but please don't start any more of this "drama."
3. Ignore me, Blakjax, Ratman, Laazt1k420, ChrisDaKilla, Swifty, Vanillathrilla, Krautkiller, and whoever else is trying to end this (Havok?), and keep on keepin' on.
I will always back you guys up here at *MAFIA* over anyone else, I'm not trying to take sides, I'm just tired of this crap and wish it'd go away. We are taking things way too seriously. Think about it - we're on the internet, having fun playing video games, its that simple right? I wish it was; let's try to keep it that way...
