Hello, I hope that someone can help me with this.
I recently bought my new computer and installed BF1942 on it.

A few minutes ago, I downloaded the patchswitcher and ran it, and now, Whenever I run BF1942, It goes to a black screen then gives an error sound and crashes to the desktop!

If anyone can help, It would be greatly appreciated.

Ah ok, Thanks, I was probably going to do that anyway, If I couldn't get an easier way here, I hope I can find the BF patches CD though.

The only reason that I installed patchswitcher was because the 1.61 server is Empty.

Should the patchswitcher work after a re-install?

well we just switched our servers so we got a new ip and just takes time for everyone to get their ass to the website for the ip! =P

That could just mean he is connecting then BF kicks him out, still dose not mean he is banned. Only someone with RSM can say for sure if he banned or not.

Just like what was said reinstall the game. BUT I would get your patches from a GOOD down load site. Make sure you install 1.6 then 1.61 and play the game, if everything is ok, THEN install the switcher and try again. Make sure you say YES to the Switcher when it wants to write to the Registry, also make sure everything is going to the HD you have BF on. Just watch the programs when they install, they will say they are going to the "C" drive, if C isn't the right drive just change that letter to the drive BF is on.

OH... When you get it working come back and tell us what was wrong. Don't be a butt and not share your fix.

No, I have been on the 1.61 server, I would say it has been before I left MAFIA when I played on the 1.6 server. I only use Loaded when I see Mafia guys on ( sometimes ). I use dumb names like Joe, Bob, OldMan, stuff like that. You will know it is me when almost everyone starts shit with me and calls me a hacker then starts to tk me because they come from the other team to try and get even for all the killing I did to them, I am a AA whore.

By the way, don't fly into my AA thinking you are going to kill me, I always put a mine at the base of the gun, sure you could get me, but I'll get you too.

About Vent, I was on it 2 times I think when I was on a 56k, I don't even have it install on this computer, I guess I am not much for a talker and lets face it there is allot of bitching that goes on, if I want to hear that I'll just say "Hello" to the wife.
