NFL/NCAA Football seasons '09
« on: August 06, 2008, 08:27:43 PM »

Practice started this week for most college teams, and training camp opened last weekend for the NFL.  Here are the top 5 preseason rankings for college football:

1. Georgia
2. USC
3. Ohio State
4. Oklahoma
5. Florida

And how about Brett Favre getting traded to the New York Jets?!

What the fuck about Texas?  That is bullshit.  Oh and I knew Farve was coming back.  I wanted to pick him up in my fantasy football league but he wasn't an option.  FUCKING BITCHES!!!!

Texas is ranked #10.  They'll climb up there if they beat Oklahoma on October 11.  These polls really don't mean anything, its just who looks the best on paper.  Come the end of the year, it might be a totally different set of top 5 teams (probably not all different though).

And how about Brett Favre getting traded to the New York Jets?!

The whole process with him has been on the news here for the past month non-stop.

It's sad to see a legacy go down like this and I wouldn't doubt if he gets injured in New York.  They'll be crying for Chad Pennington to come back to them - then again the Packers would be better off with Chad also...... sad sad.

The real funny thing about Brett* is that the stupid mother fucker literally lied to the state of Wisc. when he said "I just can't do the 'in between's' of the games." He was basically saying that he couldn't* do the practices because he was getting too old and tired. What a douche, I had a lot more respect for him when I thought he retired.

Fixed, and fuck you Hell.

Go Mizzou, never thought in my life I would see the Tigers football team be contenders 2 years in a role. There's only one team I want to beat this year and MG knows who that is. Can you say revenge lol

It's hard to bet against the only team that could beat us last year. It might be different if we could play where we could hire the referees. LOL

Sure, blame it on home cookin'... :)

Chase played well after coming out of a first half funk.  He is an amazing qb from a city about 15 min from here.  Southlake Carroll won state several times while he was at the helm.  His HS coach is now the head coach at UNT.  GO MEAN GREEN.  (lost this week to K-state, btw).  My son said OU was 50 to zero at half..everyone left due to bad weather.  Wish they could have just called it...gave Chatt their check and gone home.  :)
