can anyone tell me why we call this the hand of god?

That is nothing the navy has a better one :) vulcon2 is a 20mm monster that fires 4 times faster than a minigun :)

Vulcan isnt beter..... Its a anti aircraft and they are NOT on any air craft of the army.

the army doesnt have many air craft carriers or destroyers because thats what the navy uses and those are the type of ships there used on. not on little rubber inflatable boats. and the GAU-8 Avenger will beat them all. and the army does use them: (http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/7898/m163dasc9000067jpg3mo.jpg)

Even though the .30 caliber chain gun and the 20mm Vulcan cannon used electric firing pins and the rotary barrel configuration of the original Gatling gun they were used for different purposes so a comparison is not practical. The .30 caliber weapon was primarily an anti-personel weapon whereas the 20mm weapon was originaly designed as an anti-tank weapon. The Boys 20mm anti tank rifle was one of the first of it's kind and was used as a shoulder-fired and bipod fired weapon during the second World War.

ok i will admit they do use it but only the anti air craft and that helo on dc but dats all
and sniper is beter cause its dual shooted when i say that what it says is when it shoots it already is about to pull back on the other one so its just basicly shooting infinti.

Because when it passes over it can destroy anything in it's path. "Puff the Magic Dragon", a gun platform based on a C-130 cargo plane, had 2 dual 30 caliber chainguns capable of a rate of fire of 12,000 rounds per minute. If "Puff" was flown over a football field marked off in 1" squares with the 4 chain guns, mounted in pairs, every square inch of the football field would have at least 1 round in it. "Puff" carried a crew of 3, a pilot who fired the guns and 2 crewmen to keep them loaded. The C-130 in Desert Combat is purely ficticious with all the guns on it. "Puff" was and is the only plane of it's kind. You can see it in the movie "Green Berets" with John Wayne.
