Help / problems with unistalling
« on: September 13, 2008, 08:45:49 AM »
alright, my whole school got laptops for everyone to use, and so i put Rome: Total War on my laptop, now I'm having troubles saving my game, cus it says "Can't create save file on disk" so I'm trying to reinstall the game.  But when i go to uninstall it, it says "A user with administrator rights installed this application. You need to have similar privileges to modify or uninstall it."  If someone can help me with either of those problems, it would be greatly appreciated.

Help / Re: Resolution problem
« on: September 11, 2008, 07:41:42 AM »
Alright, I used to have a resolution of 1650 x 1050 on my monitor, I have a Acer AL2216W 22".

It always worked fine, I had a nVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT and I upgraded it too a nVIDIA GeForce GTX280.

And 'till now it worked smoothly, no problems.
But about an hour ago, I turned on the PC and the monitor had a resolution of 1360 x 768, and the largest resolution is 1600 x 1200, wich doesn't look nice on my monitor.

Now I also tried to change it too 1650 x 1050 with the nVIDIA Costum resolution, but it keeps going back too 1360 x 768.

I don't know what to do, and Google only gives me products of the GTX280 and my monitor.

Please help me... I'm so frustrated!

PS. I also tried downloading the new Driver of nVIDIA, and nothing.

Are you selling your nVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT?

EDIT: I can't help you sorry...

They fired it up today, we are still here, so I "guess" all is cool.

It takes about a week to warm up, then we'll know...
