Title: Display driver
Post by: Dymdez on January 18, 2010, 12:35:04 PM
When I'm playing BF, about every 60-90 seconds, my screen freezes and then goes black. I can still control my player, shoot, and hear everything, I just can't see anything. It requires me to alt+tab out and then open it again. I'm not sure what sparked this problem, as I use to be able to play normally, but it is now impossible to play BF.

This is the error I get when my screen blacks out.

"DISPLAY DRIVER STOPPED RESPONDING AND HAS RECOVERED.
Display Driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered"

Any ideas?

Over heat, clean out the dust from your card/case.

That's exactly it. And thanks Loaded, I'll try it.

Yes try that 1st, I have the same problem. When it happens, I know it is time to clean out my case, problem then goes away until the next cleaning is needed.

How about a household tool? Something that I don't have to go purchase?

Some q-tips, a cloth, paper towel, dry sponge, or a vacuum:

If cleaning the case doesn't work (it probably will, but just in case), try updating/reinstalling your graphics card's driver.
