I heard about this on the radio coming in to work yesterday.
Apparently the Chinese populous have negative connotations in regards to sex. I suppose it is somewhat understandable when you think of some of the implications and factors involved. These being the obvious of course, overpopulation . But also when the culture is taken into regard the negative connotation to sex can become more apparent.
As progressive as certain parts of China seem to be, i.e. Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong, the majority of China can be considered "Third World".
The term "Third World" in itself applies to a mindset that is "less of" that of a more developed area such as the United States, the European Union, e.t.c
With this in mind you can apply the same mindset to the majority of China's population. A mindset that will more than likely consider sex as means for procreation rather than recreation, and a population devoid of sex education and reasonable access to prophylactics.
This "Theme Park" is meant to provide a means of sex education to not only the "Third World" regions of the republic of China but to the metropolitan population who have adopted a mindset much like their regional counterparts.
