ok i try to play bf and punkbuster always kicks me for having a inadequate o/s something. anyone know what and how to fix this. thanks

1st make sure you are signed on your computer as Admin or Admin rights... If that doesn't work we will have to play with some other things.

ya i am i only have one icon and its mine and i am the admin.

Ok run this >>> VX2Finder (http://www.mafiafreeservices.com/files/file_info/download.php?file=VX2FinderFromLoaded.zip) . That program will see if there is any files that are blocking you from running PB correctly. You should be able to understand what to do by the wording in the program.

not really sure what i was saposed to find but it didn't find any files that i saw.

Ok if you didn't see any files in the lower box then you should be ok, that program was looking for a spy ware file that is very common on computers that takes O/S Privileges away.
Just for the hell of it, do a spy ware scan using a program of your choice... I use

Ok next... Are you up to date with PB, I would guess not if you can't play, because it takes time for the update to happen... I will send you to the web site, I don't want to link the files here because you have to do some reading... Go here to

read about and Down load all the files you can find for "For Players" and "Player Client Files", easy to do as long as you read on how to do it.
After installing the above files from PB and you still have a problem, next I will ask you to 1st turn off your anti-virus and then try to join a game, if still having a problem keep your anti-virus off and now turn off your firewall and now try again (you could have a software firewall and a modem firewall). I know, I am sure you do not want to turn this protection off, but this is the only way to see if one or both programs are blocking PB. In any case, if you can get on with both off, now turn back on your anti-virus and try again, if you still can play, then we know your firewall is blocking PB and we just have to give PB permission in the firewall program.
Lets see where the above gets you.

thanks loaded its working now. i just right mouse clicked on the icon of bf2 and hit run as admin and works good now. so if you have vista and that problem happens do that. thanks though.

Ha ha, yeah I have vista on my laptop. I don't really have probs with it except the fact that it is fucking SLOW as shit. And no its not the laptop.
