Title: Hey I need help with my crappy Dell
Post by: StEwIe_GrIfFiN on June 10, 2005, 08:34:48 PM
hey this help plea goes out to anyone who can help!

my computer is a piece of shit, but im partly okay about it. the thing about my comp that bothers me the most is at random moments, it completely freezes up and a blue screen appears that says error. this pisses me off so damn much! and it recently happened when i was trying to download the BF2 demo. every time this happens i have to reboot the comp manually.

if anyone could help with anything to prevent this from happening in the future i would be very happy ty!

Eh most likely some virus or spyware crap look at what you installed before it started doing it.

Yep I got 2 dells, my good computer is STILL fucked up cuz of a virus I got...it's almost back in action though. Usually when it freezes like that its because of some malacious programs that have been downloaded onto your computer that don't cooperate with windows XP properly, best thing to do is to wipe out as many unneccessary programs as possible, scan your disk for errors, run a check on your computer with SPYBOT search and destroy (do a search for it on google its free).

thanks bonehead and phantom, it worked just fine after i deleted unneccessary programs and ran the Spybot S&D and my own anti-virus programs. so BF2 demo downloaded successfully.

Check to see how much room you have on your hard drive that you are DL BF2 on. Windows xp needs 5% to always be free for "restore points". Its sounds to me you have to free up some HD space.

If it randomly freezes and you get a stop error that sounds like a driver or memory problem to me.
