So I fucked up. I torrented a movie that was a .mkv file. Explorer crashes (uses 100% ram) whenever the file is visible or interacted with. I have tried to delete it, rename it, move it, and use the program MoveOnBoot to delete it on the next boot cycle, but nothing has worked. My next attempt will be to try a batch file, but I know ill fuck it up. Any suggestions?
Edit: both the batch file and doing this in cmd (with explorer shut down through task manager) have failed to find the specified file even after I copied the exact file path from explorer. RmDir/s/q (folder) failed and the .bat failed to find the files even though DIR shows the two files in the folder and their bytes. It sees the files but wont acknowledge them when trying to delete them.
Edit2: Restored the folder to 2 days ago and now it's working fine. The file is gone and no problems left.
