Trailer for new game. Looks like everyone is doing the whole current warfare thing now. MW2, BF BC2, and now this.

GAME DESCRIPTION
Operating directly under the National Command Authority, a relatively unknown entity of handpicked warriors are called on when the mission must not fail. They are the Tier 1 Operators.
Over 2 million Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines wear the uniform. Of those, approximately 50 thousand fall under the direct control of the Special Operations Command. The Tier 1 Operator functions on a plane of existence above and beyond even the most highly trained Special Operations Forces. Their exact numbers, while classified, hover in the low hundreds. They are living, breathing, precision instruments of war. They are experts in the application of violence. The new Medal of Honor is inspired by and has been developed with Tier 1 Operators from this elite community. Players will step into the boots of these warriors and apply their unique skill sets to a new enemy in the most unforgiving and hostile battlefield conditions of present day Afghanistan.
There is a new enemy. There is a new war. There is a new warrior. He is Tier 1.

Damnit, why can't gamedevs make a WW2-era game with these fricken engines instead of these modern day games? I mean, this game does look good, and I like the fact it based off of Al-Qaeda and not Russia like EA and InfinityWard raped, but Medal of Honour is WW2 genre, not modern....

Because people are sick of fighting with the same weapons over and over. I don't know about you guys but I don't want to shoot more krauts with a Garand or Thompson...

i'm pretty sure there's more weapon variety in WWII games than modern day shooters. If you play as a US faction, chances are you'll be using some sort of M16/M4 variant, or a SAW. Play as an insurgent, chances are you'll be wielding an AK. Gets pretty boring.

I think the next modern warfare game should be against fucking China. FFS that's who our next war is gonna be against if it even is a war that is... It will probably be a nuclear holocaust come to think of it.

The whole war was basically shell the enemy in the trenches with artillery, and do charges in no mans land and get slaughtered by the heavily entrenched enemy. It was nothing like how WW2 was fought. I don't see any fun in that, do you? They do need to make money, and a WWI game has never really been made, and is not worth the risk in funds.

I understand not the same game/mod... Just pointing out a WWI mod for BF42 for Bob.

thanks for pointing that out. Of i had more time i might actually have tried playing it. I'm learning about WW1 in my Ap European History Class.

you can do lots of stuff; you can man machine guns and mow down advances, fire off artillery, cut some barbed wire in no mans land, throw smoke bombs, scare the shit out of the french with flamethrowers, drive around in shitty tanks, fly some planes, and kill some giant rats in between fights :)
