Played it on both my laptop and desktop. Laptop was a bit choppy but might have been connection lag.

i'm still using XP, i'll have to wait for those i5 or i7 processors to drop in price too. Doubt my dual core 3.0 will be able to handle it.

It can't. I have the Pentium 4 Dual Core 3ghz, and BC2 kills it. You will lag so much and it's pretty much impossible to move around.
I am saving up for a new computer also.

most HD 68XX cards are ATI/AMD with a another brand... Only thing different from brand to brand are the fans and clocking

For now, I meet minimum but would be terrible playing it with the amount of lag it would cause.

Can run Bf3 on my one computer with a AMD Athlon 64 4600+ Dual Core @ 2.3ghz at Medium no problem. Have to run it on Low because of a crash though.

you can see how big your cp folder is by right clicking it then choosing properties. Mine is 15gb
Or to view your pc's specs then:
Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information

Do you have Windows Vista or Windows 7? Under start, type in "dxdiag" and hit enter. Under "system" you'll see your processor, and under "display" you'll see your graphics card.
If you still have Windows XP, you can't play BF3.

You don't need to burn it to a DVD. You can put it on a USB stick also. Much faster to install than a cd.

sonofabitch. installed and ready, but graphics card too niggerfied. installing drivers now, hopefully that'll at least let it run. its a ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT, anyone know if thats too bitch mode to handle it?

The 2600 is about on par with an Nvidia 8600 GT, which is below the minimum requirements for the game.

They all support Directx 11, any thoughts? Before I buy one though I'm going to check the other systems in the house to see if there's any card that's better than mine and switch it if needed. Also I'm not too crazy about getting it from Newegg considering how I'm very impatient with this and want to play it as soon as possible.

If you're buying a new card, make sure your motherboard and PSU will support it. For example, if you're using a lower-end dell desktop, the PSU will not be sufficient to run a discrete GPU that requires extra power.

I play mine in windowed mode, Fullscreen didn't work and I'm too lazy to switch it and I've come to like it since I can see who joins vent while in game now. Update your drivers then if it is having probs might be the windowed mode thing.

I went to Fry's and ended up getting a XFX Radeon HD 6770 for $120, the game works, defaults were all on high but it lagged so now I evened things out. I'll being playing the campaign for awhile before I go online, so far so good.
