Slow Dance...Please read.
« on: July 01, 2005, 11:00:40 PM »

Please read, to me, it is worth the couple of minutes. This is the way to live life like me. I have never been able to describe the way I live, until I read this in an e-mail that my friend sent me. So, if you want to live life to the fullest like I do. Then please read, and then apply.

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,"Hi"
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

Thats a pretty candy assed poem.
Get a job, then you will realise how important it is to get stuff done fast when other people are relying on you.
You dont get anywhere in life watching the butterflies.

I agree with toby about  getting things done fast when others are relying on you and in the work force there is not much you can do about it,but there is a price to pay for it. I have worked  since i was 12 during summer of course and now am 45,the last 26 years with a printing co. I know all to well about run run run.The stress, health and lack of time with family has paid its toll. Now that my job was eliminated and out of work i have had the time to slow dance and i am happier for that. My point is you cant aviod fast but try to make time to hear the music before the song is over. Blakjax if you have kids sometimes 2 mins is all that is needed.

Yeah, like Raven said...  You can't avoid the fast, but you should try to do your best to make life go slower.  Cause you only got one life to live, so why not live it the best you can and enjoy the little things that make life worth living.
