So I'm returning my recently bought laptop because its a piece of shit. I blame vista, of course. So I'm going to buy an apple... I know, I know, everyone hates apples. I'm still not to fond of them, but this is why I'm doing it. If I do not like it, next year my dad will buy if off me for the same price I paid, because he wants one, but he wants me to test it out for him. It's a win/win situation for me. I get to test it, see if I like it and if not, I get a BETTER laptop next year.  So does anyone have experience with apples? If so we should talk. BTW, I'm getting MacBook Pro; 2.4G Intel pentium duel core, 2gigs of ram, and an Nvidia 8600GT card.  I'm quite excited ;)

I've played around with the new Macbook Pro's. The systems themselves are fine but it's just comes down to operating systems. For college classes I WOULD NOT recommend O/S 10. It was never designed for the use of productivity applications. If you want to edit a video or a song... O/S 10 is great but for uses such as Word Processing, Problem Solving, and Research stick with greed i.e. Windows XP.

I know that the Mac O/S isn't good with word and shit, but the program boot camp will let me load windows on and install Word to it. So i'm fine with that.

The new Macbook's have an Intel processor so you can dual-boot XP Pro and O/S 10. You won't have to deal with the glitchy nature of boot-camp.
