well I'm about to buy one of those two, but......
which one ?
When I buy the 360 I'm done for € 270, then ill have one with a 20 GB harddisk, one controller and a headset. And then when i want to go online i have to pay €60 a year. So when I buy the 360 i would get done for 330, without a game.
Then we got the Ps3, when i get the 40 GB version it will cost me €399, then ill get one controller (40 GB instead of 20 on the 360), a headset and a game of my choice. And the online gaming is free. The ps3 also has a blu-ray player, a normal blu-ray player costs about €800.
I think the best choice is a ps3, but I'm posting this so you guys can share your opinion about this. Anybody ?

do you prefer specific games as in warhawk,halo,resistance etc..
ps3 is nice, free online, web browser, capable of modding to the extreme
360 is good too, the majority of my school has it, so ill take a guess and say there are more players for 360 then ps3...360 has argueable better graphics...but you gotta pay... its your opinion too...
if you decide on ps3, i would wait for the ps3 to drop in price, i hear it will drop soon

goddamn, i freaking pay the same in euros as you guys in dollars, its like 1,6:1. You lucky bastards, well i found a secondhand 360 premium right now. 2 months old, 1,5 year guarantee left, 2 controllers, remote control, games : cod4, vegas, moto gp 08 and airborne. This all for the price of 250€

2. I was in a position like you to buy a 360 or ps3. They say the ps3 has better graphics but me and my friends were playing madden 08 on a HDTV and everyone, even the guy with the ps3, agreed the 360 had better graphics.
3. This is what convinced me to buy a 360: more games and selection, more players on XBOX LIVE, great graphics, LIVE marketplace, acheivement system & gamerscore, better controller configuration.
So with all this said and done, buy the 360.

The only game system I play on rare occasions is my Atari 2600, its seriously undestructable, I own at Pacman and Tank is awesome when your wasted. I had an N64 but I snapped all the joypads playing Mario golf for money with my brother. My SNES is useless aswell after the pads got worn out through playing Street Fighter 2 Turbo. I'll never buy another game system again PC's OWN.

Anyway, for multiplayer games you can't beat the 360's Live Network but I prefer the PS3 to single player games. The graphics on your higher-end multiplayer games seem to look better to me on a PS3 than a 360. To each their own though.

Time for you to update, yes. Playing those games is like living in the stone ages, lol. I have my N64 stored in a container in my room.

I prefer the Balthazar 69. That has got to be the best system out there. You can play first person face shooters and watch them take all the load. Fucking sweet.

360 imo has better graphics but i love resistance and warhawk..only ps games...its really just opinion

I bought a 5 month old 360 arcade, no harddisk, one controller, 6 games : Cod4, MOH airborne, Cod2, assasins creed, Battlefield2 and burnout revenge. All this for 230€, that's like 370 bucks, it's really expensive over here. I'm about to buy a 20 GB hd + a controller for 75€, 120 bucks.
When I had to buy this all in the store it would have cost me about 650, 1040 bucks, so i guess a made a pretty good deal.
I hope I can set up live in the weekend.

my atari 2600 has two controllers, one paddle controller, 14 games, fake wood paneling on it, and a black/white or color option, for those with new fangled color televisions.

Theres no option to ship it over from the USA, because most of the games are not regio free, which means I can't play the dutch games on the american xbox
