My dad picked up a hitch hiker when he was 30. Dude was sketchy as fuck and after my dad got him to where the guy needed to be, he offered my dad a huge 18 inch machete as payment. My dad got the fuck out of there.

I picked up a hitch hiker once on the way back from picking shrooms in the moors. This guy was sat between 2 of my buddies on the back seat who were tripping their asses off and they started to try and force feed this guy shrooms. He tollerated it for a few miles then shouted at me to drop him off on the hard shoulder of the freeway so I did.

I've picked up 4 hitch-hikers (2 male, 2 female), and delivered them all to their destinations safely.  I can tell the stories if you want, they're not that great though.  I will continue to pick up hitch-hikers in the future.  I have never hitched for a ride myself simply because I've never had the need to, but I'm not against it.

Other than that, i have no experience hitching or picking up hitchhikers.
