So if a gay person who had gay sex for 70 plus years asked for forgiveness from God while he was on his death bed and accepted jesus and all that jazz, then he could get into heaven?

I'm just saying, sounds like a pretty big loophole to me. Seriously, if apparently "God will accept you no matter what as long as you accept him" is really true, then all you have to do is have a fun life without having to pray to something you aren't even sure exists, and then when you're 89 years old and dying of syphilis, just do the whole conversion thing and BAM! You're saved.
