The north did due to all the mills,refineries,textile etc where mainly in the north at that time and most of the nations money was of course funded to the north and most of the train tracks ran thru the north due to all the industry so they could move troops and material faster to the lines. In the end the south did damn good to have the limited resources they did have if the south hade more we would have a split us today

What are you talking about?  I drug this thread off topic to talk about how the Confederacy would have beaten the Union if they have sufficent supplies.  Actually, the South killed twice as many people then the North.  So, there's a number for you.
