For those of you who had to read the Greek play of Oedipus Rex is school will find this hilarious.  For those of you who didnt, it will still be funny but you may not get all of the jokes.

For those of you who didnt read it, it was about a Greek King who killed his father and married his mother...

This is an essay that a student wrote AND handed in to a teacher AND still received a D- lol.

I'd say the teacher gave him a passing grade so he would at least feel inclined to approach the teacher after class to discuss the paper. If he was given a failing grade (which is what I hope he was expecting) he might have not felt inclined to approach the teacher to discuss the paper. At any rate, he gets my utmost approval for at least having the balls to write something like that and turn it in. Bravo Mr. Freeman! Oh come on, that is clearly a student's handwriting on that paper.  I know there are some teachers who don't have the neatest handwriting, but not like that.  And you think a college professor would pass that paper?  No way.  Usually professors say "meet me in my office" to discuss something, not after "class."  And if you count the total number of negative points, I believe it is -52, which would be a 48-F.  Also in college, there aren't A+, A, A-, etc.  Its just the flat out letter grade of "A, B, C, D, or F."   That play is something usually read in high school, not college.  Yeah its funny, and I do believe there are people who would turn something like that in;  but I still don't think its real.  There's just way too many circles, corrections, and x's.  College professors don't have time for that, and they don't even have to do that.

ya i agree with beetle, it was funny. but that handwriting looks like a little kid wrote it. and i know any of my teachers would not have even read any of that. they would have just gave it back to me. but all in all still funny.

I've not read Oedipus, but I don't have to now thanks to this splendidly put together essay. Very well done. My favorite line is "None of this makes much sense. Again, don't worry about it. This is a folk tale not a god damn Oxy Clean Commercial."
