usually shaving your head gets rid of split ends...you might just want to try shaving half of your head to make sure it works first.

I've asked a couple of women, and they all say the same thing - trim your hair, it makes it look healthier.  There isn't a shampoo or treatment that'll work other than cutting it, that I know of, but I could be wrong.  I found these:

O christ lol you came to the right forum for that question.  Pantene Pro-V works pretty well for me, as does Garneir(think thats how you spell it) fortifying shampoo is a favorite, herbal essences works well but has too much perfume for my taste.  If you have long hair brush it while its drying to keep it straight, don't blow dry, I used to do it but it dries out your hair and makes it so that it gets staticy easily.  Also, try to air-dry it as much as possible, don't rub your towel around it too much.  I don't know how you do yours but I like to brush my hair in the shower(I also like to brush my teeth in there, amongst other things) especially after you rinse it, so that you don't get dandruff.  If you get the two-in-one shampoo and conditioner, which is more convienant, that works well too.  I am not kidding--have any other questions send me a PM.   No, I'm not gay, I just take good care of my hair:D
As long as you keep it clean (I do) most women don't mind, plus from my experience a lot of girls like to be able to run their hands through it... Only problem is they will eventually ask you if they can straighten it or curl it.....

BTW Beetle, in this case you are wrong.  As long as you keep it clean (I do) most women don't mind, plus from my experience a lot of girls like to be able to run their hands through it... Only problem is they will eventually ask you if they can straighten it or curl it.....

What are you talking about?  When did I say women don't like long hair?  I was answering his question about how to TREAT it, and I said that women I've asked say to TRIM it, not get rid of the long hair entirely.  Way to misinterpret me there Mr. Hair Genius.  I wasn't wrong - negative rep for you!
