Sorry, i just hate those kind of cars (big ass over consumptive ugly as shit dodge trucks) because they brag about having so much power...who the hell needs it? Why would you put a 70s race motor in a fucking truck, especially when it gets like 14 mpg? Seems ridiculous to buy one of those kinds of things.
Your truck however balth is actually a reasonable and not over consumptive one. Props for not getting a lifted red neck ugly mobile.

Well over powered trucks are for rich people, they can afford the gas. I once had a 4 banger with a 5 speed stick and I must say it was damn good on gas and did what I wanted it to do.
Most cars are targeted for the upper class or college kids with no brains. I mean allot of the cars are just as much if not more than the cost of a house.

Hey Wasser. The Hemi is really a sales gimmic. Its an attempt to attract the 40-50 year olds to buy their vehicles by trying to capatilize on the old musle car type era. It really is in no way the same motor that was back in the 60's and 70's. The original Hemi is not very conducive to todays demands. There are not efficient at all. They have however incorporated electronic controls that eliminate cylinders from firing when the vehicle is under a lo-load demand or mode like the Cadillac. But I gotta say they have sold alot more vehicle's with the Hemi now. Ohh and if you didn't know the Hemi is derived from the domed cylinder head combustian chamber instead of the wedge style which is more efficient and in most circumstances.

I have a Ford ranger with 220k miles...runs like a gem. Another Ford with 140k and will whoop whatever Dodge Hemi you throw at it.

For the people who absolutely need a truck for work, or on a ranch or something you never see them with big ass 40,000 dollar trucks. There's an old rancher by my school who has had the Dana Ranch for a long ass time and all he uses is an 80s Datsun. Says it does just what he needs and is actually pretty fuel efficient.

it's just annoying to me when they try to market "new" ideas like the cutting down of cylinders that cadillac had developed in the 80s(maybe?). It was a pretty good idea, stop using some cylinders when your at cruisin speeds and what not, but still for having been making trucks for 40 plus years it's pathetic that gas efficiency has only gone down. I know there's an increase in power to make up for that, but like i said before...the power they have isn't necessary.
