Also, The Columbine Massacre happened on this date.  My cousin was there for the shooting, so don't praise it please.

ya Columbine shooting was pretty close to me and it was freaky, my older brother pulled me out of school, i was in the 4th grade then; and 420 is the police code for marijuana possession

My teacher was a student at Columbine...Th ough I do recall her saying, everyone thought it was just a regular fire drill so no one took it seriously at first. And oh yeah, my birthday was the 16th :).

One time my punk ass older brother told me about this dead body that was a missing kid from town, so my 3 friends and I decided to hike to see the body.  After it was all said and done and we had seen our first dead body, we realized that the journey is sometimes more important than the destination.

I went to school with one of the shooters from Columbine, Eric Harris.  He lived in Plattsburgh, NY, before he moved to Colorado, and thats where I use to live.  He was in the grade ahead of me.  Maybe we all have more in common than just being in mafia, this is freaky...

Late yet again on a reply. But I had heard that 420 was part of the California Penal Code for possession of marijuana. But it seems we all agree on one thing, it started in MY STATE! Hoo-YA!

420's origin has nothing to do with law.  There was a bill passed AFTER 420 originated, and the bill has 420 in the title, and it does deal with marijuana, but it was just a nod to pop culture.  Tail wagging the dog, not the other way around.
