Title: Making files 6 kb or less

I'm an idiot, so I have no idea how to make a file 6 kb, I've saved it as a .jpg and that's about it. Do I have to use a program so I can convert it to a smaller file?

I need to be able to use it as an avatar for my website project due monday.

If it was compressed would it still be uploadable?

You could zip the file but when you un-zip it it will still be the same file size. 6k isn't alot to play with. You could open it in Photoshop and save it as a .jpg with a decreased resolution, that should downsize the k but it may look like shit. What size file are you trying to shrink to 6k?

I didn't have any software to do it. Thanks though dune :)

Just bought a new hard drive, completely forgot I didn't have photoshop etc on there.

100x100pix will get you 6KB...
