hey this isnt exactly mafia related but i cant get my damn BF heroes to work. everytime i try loading it i get a white screen with the music playing. its annoying as hell and their support on their wep page is a bunch of crap. any of you guys got any suggestions?

hahahaha i'm sorry i just get a little crazy sometimes. anyways, it is just a beta so i'm sure they'll fix it. i'll just deal with it for now.

update ur gfx drivers...

BF Heroes sometimes takes a couple minutes to load for me; especially right when I start up my laptop. Try updating your video drivers, then try reinstalling the game. Don't forget you have to be logged in @ play.battlefie ld-heroes.com to play the beta.

ya i'm logged in and everything and its not that its taking long to load, it just won't load at all lol. imma just wait to i get a new computer, then play it on that with the graphics cards i need.

I also have this kind of problem, if i try to run it, it freezes on the black screen just before you can choose your character. Only option then is to shut down my pc. Any ideas?

Both of you, update your DirectX http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en for XP and if you are running Vista, shut down DX10 and convert back to DX9.

alright i'm downloading it now. i'll see if it works when its done...
...ya its not working stil.
this is what it looks like when i try loading the game. it starts out white, then goes to a gray screen that looks like it could be the start of the game minus pictures and stuff and the theme music starts playing. then it goes back to white with the theme music playing still.

A lot of bf heros problems can be fixed simply by opening your internet as an admin then starting the game...
1) Right click your internet desktop icon
2) Select "Run as Administrator"
I had a problem where it came up with error code 1002 or something and that fixed it.

ya i'm not able to run it as admin just by right clicking it. but i don't think thats the problem, some people on the site had similar problems and said they downloaded this pixel shader thing and it worked but made the game lag. so i still donno what to do. but i'm not all that concerned about it, i dont have much time to play anyways lol.

Well, BF-H has been offline for like the last 3 days now. Alot of problems caused by the new update.
