Title: Vent and Mic
Post by: *MAFIA* ExcoWear on May 14, 2009, 03:36:47 AM
well i got a really long time problems with my mic, and since yesterday problems with vent.

1). when someone is talking on vent, and while he is talking i want to say something, the sound sounds like a verry big explosion. also when play some music, and turn my volume off, and i push my hotkey you can all hear my music verry loud while i turned my volume to 0.

2). im verry lagging all the time when i try to say something on vent, how could this be fixed?

A few questions

What sound card are you using, and is it up to date?

What's your CPU and how much ram do you have also?

Go to the ventrilo, and go to setup. Make sure the input device is correct.

Are you using 2 vents at once? It honestly sounds like a codec issue.

The newest version of Realtek HD is 2.23, is that what version you're using?

Here (http://www.realtek.com.tw/DOWNLOADS/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false)'s a Link to 2.23

Plug your mic into the microphone slot and your headphones into the speaker slot.  That usually helps.
