I think the number of points someone gets for a kill should be raised from 5 to 10 just to even out the scoring so it doesn't favor flag whores so much. Please post your opinions here :).

my opinion:
points are for pussies, i focus on kill to death ratio. But since I do understand that there are those that like points...I would say raise it to 10 points per kill so people would want to kill others more instead of being little flag whores.

It doesn't matter to me, I like it exactly how it is. But if anything changes, I'd say make the flag 75 or 50.

The only reason I say raise the number of points for a kill is because bonehead refuses to make it even by reducing the number of points for a flag. I say the way to make it even is to raise the number of points for a kill then instead.

I recommend giving more points for kills. I for one am one of those Flag whores you speak of and I like it. I don't do it for the points I just like being "Sneaky, Sneaky". My kill/death ratio is getting better though. So it wouldn't bother me at all to reduce the points for flag capture or give more for kills.

Lower the points for a flag to 50 raising the points for kills to 10 is way to much you people remind me of a bunch of babies always bitching about something. Just be thankfull you are allowed to bask in the shadow of the great phantom the keeper of nerd wars the one true nerd god! :)

Let me break this down for those of you who apparently don't see the logic behind my statements.
Normal BF Scoring:
- Kill - 1 point
- Flag - 10 points
Ok logic would say since the flag right now gets you 100 points (10*10=100) you would also multiply the points needed for a kill by 10 right?
And now, our current system:
- Kill - 5 points
- Flag - 100 points
For those of you not so good at math, and I know you are out there, this means that with our current scoring system you need 20 kills just to equal that of a flag capture, whereas before only 10 kills were needed.
For all you people who vote no, I understand if that is legitimately your opinion, but the next time I see one of you bitching about a flag whore I'm just going to cock slap you. This scoring system promotes flag whores since people can go through the entire game not killing a soul and still come out in first place. If we were to change our scoring system to even things out then maybe people would actually try to fight back rather than just going for the flags nonstop.

is it possible to mod the points to help the kills per death people? Or could you take of the 2 points for every time you die. It'd be sweet if it'd start at 5 points, 6 points for you 2nd kill on that life, 7 for the 3rd, etc... until you die then it restarts. That's probably impossible to do in Battlefield but fuck, thats a good idea.

You have to go through people to get it, and people are chasing you the whole way back. I never said you weren't good, nor did I say I was good. I'm just saying its not an easy thing to do, and believe me, I would know. Try getting on when the server is full, on a non-turbo plane map, and cap all 8 flags.
