guess what i got today? my new video card, yes thats right MY THIRD FUCKING ONE! so i put the POS in and BAM! nothing... so after 2 months i finally figure out its not the video card =) someone tell me what to do now, gigabyte tech has the shittiest tech support in the entire world. so im about 2 seconds away from pulling out a sledge hammer on my piece of shit computer. maybe i wasnt able to build one on my own after all. I hate my life.

You are probably trying to put a pci graphics card into a AGP slot haha. What exact motherboard did you get and what exact graphics card did you get?

This may sound stupid but I can't remember what is wrong. What exactl problems are you experiencing. Start up? Lock up? Nigger Screen? lol What is the make and model of the mobo and vid card.

Take the whole thing to Micro Center or any of the thousands of computer shops around and spend the $$ to have them fix it for you...apparent ly you can't do it yourself....

Didn't I tell you way back when to get a new PSU (Power supply unit)? Buy a 500+ watt with 2ea 12 volt rails and your problems will be gone or you can wait for another 2 months then get it.

lol phantom, i know you may think im stupid, mabye i am, but im not stupid enough to mix up AGP and PCi. the problem is nothing shows up on the screen, no its not the power supply, i have a 550W so... no its not the screen, i just tested it on this comp, any other bright ideas before i get out my M80's?

So the computer doesn't even post? (bios) screen. Does all the normal shit happen when u turn it on. Fans come on and hdds turn on., they usually make a little noise. I have had this prob before after a CPU change. But i need more info to try and help. Ohh and what have u tried to do?

o ya sry. Video card: BFG GeForce 7800 GT OC (this is weird, when i got my third card, it looks ALOT different than the past two, it was copper and parts were see through.) and my MoBo: Gigabyte GA-K8N Sli Pro :

Find that PSU on the net and give us a link to it also. Also a link to your ram and tell us how much you are using and how many sticks.
I just hope you are not using "old" ram from a Intel board and trying to use it in a AMD board.

Are you sure FSB is 1 GHZ and not actually 200 mhz?
And I think cache on that processor is only 512kb.

Your right on the CPU Lightning and I hope you are NOT right on the v-card, that link is for a AGP.

Maybe we are looking at a board short onto the case. ßlåkjáx are you sure you only have "stand offs" where there is a hole for a screw (screws only go into holes with metal washer)? It's possible you have a stand off hitting the back of the board.
