So I want to get some LED's and put them in my desk space and/or behind my monitor to light it up. Can someone explain how I connect evrything and to what (PSU or external power source), to get it powered up. I tried Google but could not get many tutorials. Thanks.

Most LED's used in modding your system are used within the system and connected by molex to your power-supply but for what you want to do you would need an outside power source unless the led's you get come with an elongated cable which you can extend outside the case. If that is the case then I would recommend visiting Think Geek (http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/pcmods/) & PC-Modz (http://www.directron.com/bareleds.html).

Ah fuck that cost to much... get a 40watt or lower colored bulb in the color you want at most stores and get a bare 110 socket to put it in... nuff said!
