Title: Cathode Help
Post by: *MAFIA* Scooby on October 15, 2006, 03:38:35 PM
So I bought some 12" cathodes blue and red. Now, how can I make the cables longer so I can put it outside of the case or behind my monitor. The given cable length is just not long enough. I bought power suplly extenisons, which only extend it bit more, but I will need to buy several more of these to get it at my lenght, and I dont want to do that, Please help.

Just to warn you ahead of time if you don't have experience soldering or splicing make sure to wear kitchen type rubber gloves while you are testing the connection... I know from experience... ouch.

So would I then just use some standard electrical wire to make it longer.  For power supply cable, I cut the 4 small cables from the the 4-pin mlex connector and then attach the new wire and join back together.  Is the best way to connect again soldering?
