Title: Problem with output staticy on vent.
Post by: Asheydawg on January 23, 2007, 07:54:45 PM
Anyone have any ideas why i am getting this?

I was on ventrilo.com seeing if it said anything about it, but I had no idea what it was talking about.

All last night I was being helped by Balth, and we were not able t6o accomplish anything.

On ventrilo.com it said somehting  about resetting the sound card?

(here is the link: http://ventrilo.com/faq.php#sound2)

If anyone has any idea, plase tell me.

I will be on tomorrow, getting off for night.

I know that it is computere related, becuase i tried it on a different computer and it worked.

Then use Vent on ur different computer!!! I'm not sure if it's static, cuz it doesn't really sound like that. Prolly something on ur comp, change the setting around a bit, read carefully from the link u gave. Make sure hardware connections to sound card are secure, and sound card to mobo also secure.

I'm just about certain it's a setting within his C-Media (his sound card vendor) control panel or a defective headset. I went over the sound control settings in Windows with him and everything there was setup fine to transmit over Ventrilo.

This should be a lesson to you people, if you are going to get a mic get a shitty desktop one you can beat the shit out of or a USB headset. It seems like the headsets that use your mic and sound ports are extremely shitty.

Why would it be with every headphone I have, then?

And Roshan - the other computer is my bro's. I can't use it.
