i thought him and his wife donate millions all the time... ? and i heard lots of the technology in seatle is funded by him.

Phantom, when you have billions such as him. And you pass out a few million a year. Which is chunk change to him. Just to make your worthless rich ass look good.
That is what he does along with most other rich n worthless people.
And that technology is made by the people that work for crapsoft so ass munch can turn another buck. Besides ass munch has no idea how to do anything except play with his paper god.

1. Bill Gates assumes all the risk for failure.
2. Bill Gates' liability extends worldwide due to use of his products and his name recognition. Almost everyone knows who he is and can sue him for sneezing if they want.
3. Bill Gates is an educated man that used his brain to its potential to change the world.
4. Bill Gates knows his employees are his best asset. He also knows that to be successful you must hire the most competent and productive people to do the things he is not good at doing.
5. Bill Gates is the original owner and deserves to take from the company he built whatever he chooses. It is his perogative.
6. People with wealth are not evil. Most are smart and wise.
7. There must be those with wealth in order for the economy to function properly. These people write the payroll checks.

World without money is the ultimate Communist Utopia... However, history shows that all attempts to implement that theory failed misserably. The most known are the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia, the Soviet Union, and even China. Money and profits encorage people to develop and improve, explore new technologies, create better products, etc. Attempts, made by the mentioned above regimes to eliminate money or to reduce it's significance brought their countries to a monitary and intelectual bancroptcy, creating a society in which corruption and theft became a normal standard, sterting with the Head of States all the way down to the common citizen..
As much as I myself wold love to see it goes, I don't see it happening.

I think I get what you're saying. The world would be a better place if we didn't NEED money. You're saying that people will do anything if "the price is right" because of their love of money. Its all about how much you can get, and almost everyone would like more.
I don't think money is unimportant and you don't need it, but you need not worship it. And by "worship" I don't mean you talk to it or set up a shrine for it, but it becomes peoples' idols. Enjoy making money and enjoy the things that it brings, but if you becomed consumed in it, then it can be the root of all KINDS of evil, not ALL evil.
