Hmmmm.  I don't really know if I understand the question(s).  One has a capital "G" and the other a lowercase "g."  Is the first suppose to represent the one true and only God, while the second the other gods of the world?  Anyway, when I read the question, it reminded me of this.  Here is a poster a lot of my friends had in college:

http://www.art.com/asp/sp-asp/_/PD--10029668/SP--A/IGID--884201/Names_of_Christ.htm?sOrig=CAT&sOrigID=7566&ui=AB77982985DB4AA8870953CFAC2DFB39#

Also, the Bible mentions countless names for God and Jesus, as others have posted.  Yet your question does not ask what are the names of God, but what is THE name of God.  So I can list several scriptures quoting what He's been called, but for the time being, I'll go with this one:  "Abba" (father)

If that's not the answer you're looking for, then I'll make another post.

Yes I know mainstream religion believes Jehovah and Jesus are the same being. Yatta yatta.

To bad they don't read the bible else they would see they are indeed 2 beings. But everyone has the right to their belief.

Are you Unitarian?

Too bad you're both wrong...and right.  The Bible specifies three seperate beings: God(Jehovah), Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.  There's God, the creater of the universe.  Next, we have Jesus, the only connection or "bridge" we have with God and heaven.  Last, we have the Holy Spirit.  The part of God and Jesus that lives within our hearts/souls.  Then again, it also says how these three are one in the same.  The Trinity, as people call it, is just a term people use to represent all three heavenly beings at once.  Although, the Holy Spirit isn't really a being by itself-as previously stated-it's the presence of God/Jesus in us.  Then we have the issue of "Is God and Jesus the samething?"  I personally don't believe they are.  Some people think that when God says he sent his "son" from heaven, they think he sent himself, but if you read Revelations, you'll see that it says God will emerge from heaven from among the clouds with Jesus on his right-hand side.  So I can somewhat agree with both sides of this debate.

There's my two and half cents.

uhh oh, here comes the big (and pointless) RELIGIOUS DEBATE.

Just give it up before it gets outa hand.

I like to look at it as more of a discussion than a debate, but sometimes it does turn into an argument.  What is so wrong with discussing religion anyway?  Its not pointless, its very important to some people, and interesting to others.  I say do not give it up, but instead, pull Phantom into it.  He can't handle the heat.

With very little research you'll realise that institutionali sed religeon and organised belief structures are the source of all conflict in the history of the human race. I believe the true God is the instinctive morality your born with that tells you right from wrong.
Religious organisations today are simply another way of the shepard (the government of your nation) getting the sheep (you) to abide by the rules of the society they've constructed for your sorry asses. Although without this devious control system civilisation would have never progressed and I wouldn't be typing this now. But hell, if I never had to pay taxes again I'd be happy living in a cave with just a club to bludgeon stuff and eat it.

Jehovah is just another name for Jesus so they are indeed the same..

I agree that the bible does actually refer too them as two seperate individuals.  But the belief by most scholars and charismatic Christians is the fact of the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) is one complete being referenced three different ways.  The Father who is God,  Son who is God incarnate and the Holy Spirit who is God in present day form.  The real fact is that is doesn't matter.   I can't recall a verse that says you have to understand this to make it to heaven.  But it does say Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  Romans 5: But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Well actually you are maybe ill just say misinformed.  Here is the verse i think you are talking about NKJV 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had[e] a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean,[f] followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp[g] sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:

I think you have to remember that Revelation was written by John while he was in prision.  Other than the first four chapters which were direct inspired words, the rest of the book is about dreams that John had.  This is one reason why there are so many different interpretation s.  Same as the book of Daniel, which fits nicely together with Revelations.

I am not trying to go out on a limb here but just present a few facts from the bible.  I don't think that people that are truly unbelievers (Phantom, Dune, Misfit and Elliott etc...) will get this far in this post but if you do, for your sake I hope this is all untrue.  Beacuse if all this religion stuff is true I am affraid that I won't get to hang out with you guys in the next life and that would truly dissapoint me.  The god of this world wants as many as he can get for his kingdom.  I am affraid that everyone will end up in a kingdom, I just hope your happy with the one you end up in.

I love you all;
Peace!

If god is supposed to love everyone and accept everyone, why does he only let the "members" in his holy kingdom? Doesn't seem very giving if you'll only accept the people who are your religion, and all others will wander aimlessly for eternity.
Buddhism's where it's at.
