i have a sony dvd burner model "DVD/CD reWritable drive DRX-500UL." It goes into the USB port, and i don't have the driver software for it anymore. I looked on their support site and they have one driver for this model, but it says use only if you have windows 2000SE or something. What should i use? A link would be nice.
i know i'm retarded, but help would be appreciated.

Try this;
http://www.opendrivers.com/freedownload/212519/sony-drx-500ul-500ulx-dvd-rw-firmware-2.1a-download.html
or
http://cd-rom.free-driver-download.com/url.php?id=TVRBMU1UTT0&link=1
hope they work.
(both links go directly to download, so for the first one, wait a couple secs)

i tried the first one and did the update thing, when i click on my computer and try to access the burner is says "incorrect function, G:/ is not accessible"
also when i did the update it verified what version i had, and it said do you have the 500AU model? or something like that. It didn't say 500UL, which is what i've got.
EDIT: when i click on my computer it shows the drive like it should, DVD-RW drive G, but when i put a blank DVD in it says, CD-Drive G. wtf is up with that?
