Call of Duty: 4 is coming out in the future, maybe that will be a game that the majority of us will move into..

Looks sweet. I might "get" it. But then there are people here who's computers will not be able to run it. Unless there is a hack on it quickly, some of us will be a little reluctant to play it.
I think BF2 would be a great game to run, not tooo new and not old at all.
I also enjoy playing 2142, as it relies heavily on teamwork. Some ppl dont enjoy it cuz the ones that play it have their unlocks ready, so newbies die very quickly from the different type of gameplay enviroment and tactics.

BF2 is my best bet, but I think we should still keep the 1942 part. The servers are pretty active, so why close them down?
The thing with new games is that, like Roshan said, not a lot of people are able to run it descent.
I, personally, can't wait for Crysis, I've seen every trailer, every screenshot and it has been the reason why I upgraded my pc. By the time Crysis comes out I will have vista so I can run on full DX10 :).
Does anyone know the release date of COD4?

COD 3 was never released to the PC, and ass monsters will most likely never release it to the pc either.

COD3 didnt come out for PC because they felt that online play wasnt as good as the COD2 online play.
COD4 should be coming out for PC, PS3, and XBOX360, i read it on totalCOD4.com i believe.

the COD series is the most historically inaccurate WWII game i've ever played. Guys running around with STG's in north africa maps, FG42 on early war maps, the enfield is reloaded through the bottom (NO ONE did that, they were issued one magazine so they just reloaded through the top with stripper clips) and various other shit just bugs me when playing it.

its not meant to be a sim, its just a close to the mark shooter, for fun. The only game that i did ever play that was correct down to the way buildings looked in ww2 was brothers in arms. now that was a good game. They took the stories of vets and what they did in action and made the game around them, very nice. Even the guys in the game hade the real life names of the vets, and their missions and enemy encounters. Very good game if you want it like it was.

Wow that COD4 trailer looks absolutely amazing... I will have to upgrade here in a few months as well.
