Title: hoooray for microcrap

so guess what i got my new game forza motorsports 2.  i pop the game in and 10 minutes into the game the game freezes, so i'm like hmmm, i turn the system off then i turn it back on........and voila i get the red ring of death......... ....for those of u that don't know what that means it means your system is as good as dead.  Internal hardware failure....... .*sigh......thank you microsoft..... .

Can you return it?  This reminds of the Blue Screen of Death, which I got three times yesterday!

ROFL, I had to return two of mine until I got one that kept working.  Yes, it's the equivalent to the Blue Screen of Death on computers.

I used to get a yellow ring whilst playing oblivion but not anymore.

I heard they're in the production stages of "The Ring 3" based on this event.  Sad.

well i contacted tech support, and they are going to ship out a box for me to send the console to them.  and it's still under warranty so it will be free repairs. and when i get the console back, i get a 3 months free xbox live card  ;) but then again, i'm losing 1 month of xbox live since i won't have the console for probably that long!  once again thank you microsoft

I got the flashing red ring on my x-box.  It is now growing dust in the corner!

That happened to me too when you got yours, if remember disccusion.  They gave me a 1 month subscription gold membership.  It took 1 and a half weeks to get mine back.  I think Sony's consoles/portables are mroe reliable cause my PSP gone through hell like moisture/overheating/water.  But I see no good games out for the PSP.

Go steal you a new one. And this is the reason I don't buy console crap, a pc is way better.
