Now maybe if AMD will get their heads out of their asses and get their shit together for the gamers out there... ATI cards haven't been right from the time AMD took over, hell it took them 3 drivers sets to get it "almost" right (the drivers still suck).

I want to know the specs of the 9800 type workstation cards of Nvidia. They say that the 9800 is going to be twice as good as the 8800, so I really wonder what the workstation version is going to do :)
AMD is in big finacial problems, I hope they can manage to get out of there.

They have a lot of lent money.. it is really going bad for ati, and I hope they can make it out because I don't want nvidia to be the only chitset maker so it can increase the prices

Unless you are doing some high-end rendering... not just a souped up paint (Boeman, LOL j/k), then that card is over-kill.

Haha ya for me it is useless, I'm not doing anything particals based in 3ds max or create something with 6 million polygons and still want my fps in my viewports to be normal.
And rendering images is done with the CPU mostly ;) videocard is only used for real-time viewport rendering.
