Title: Graphics card changed...
Post by: Carnage on September 01, 2007, 04:56:03 AM
OK.... I installed my new PC yesterday with Vista and it ran perfectly.
I looked at specifications ... and it said I had a Nvidia GeForce 8600GT...

Later in the evening I installed Photoshop... etc...
And suddenly my resolution wnet from 1600 x 1200 to 800 x 600 and it installed a Intel 965 Express Chipset Family.....................
Now the resolution is 1600 x 1050 but still sharp as it was with the GeForce.
I tryed Nvidia drivers for both 32bit and 64bit Vista versions... It said it couldn't be installed cause it didn't saw the card... Also the program with setting for the Nvidia is gone...
After this all didn't worked I usid the back up to throw off everything and re-install everything.
And after that it still said I had a Intel 965 Express Chipset Family...

Does someone knows how to solve this? Or is it just a patch kind of thing...

I would appriciate the help.
Thanks,
-Carny.

I can't help, well I could, but I would just be guessing because I don't have Vista or a Nvidia... But I can say this, I do know Nvidia is having big problems with their driver set for Vista.

Go here to http://www.driverheaven.net/forum.php and make free account. I am 100% sure they will have your problem fixed by the end of the day.

Well bite the bullet and use a real one... Unless your on line company doesn't give you e-mails. I haven't check, but can you just look around and read the forums without signing up? If so, I would think your problem is there somewhere.
