No I don't want a hitler mobile ;)
-
I guess I'll have to come back and look, right now the link is dead in your post and I can't get the pic to show in another window.
But in the mean time... Some day I will have something like this, but I have to pick a car to put it in. Not really to race, I just love the sound of a high compression motor spinning a 6-71
-
WO thats a beast! Could you fit one in a Dodge Challenger?
-
You can put any engine in any make of car... But I for one would always want the engine to match the Maker of the car. That engine above is a GM block so a GM car would have to be the choice "for me". I would love to see that motor coming out of the hood of a "65" Chevelle (my birth year)... Something like below.
-
wow that looks awesome
-
Now I see the pic, looks nice, but I can tell that is more a show car and not a racer. I'm not really into tunnel rams. Dose it even run or is it towed to the shows ;)

This is my dream truck right here, and she is all mine. I just got the pictures back and wanted to show them, and since this thread has to do with mechanics and stuff I thought it would be fine. All she needs is just some new rims and I will be straight.

Yea, that is nice. I got a chevy silverado 350 full size. It works=D

wtf my post was deleted?
lifted truck = bad investment.
it looks like you're overcompensati ng for something, and it gives your car poorer handling and a higher center of gravity, making it more prone to tipping over and crashing. And the tires cost a shit ton more than a normal car. Other than that...it's neat?
Your fucking post was deleted because you feel that insulting someone on their personnel taste has something to do with this thread, it dose not.
Allot of you must and will learn that ALL threads will not be spammed on. If I have to delete every fucking post that dose such a thing I will. Grow the fuck up, if you can't add information to the thread topic, pass the topic by and DO NOT hit the reply Icon. Thanks and have a great day, Loaded

I think it looks cool although the back bed looks like it disconnects from the front cabin like some kind of transformer robot in disguise. What kind of miles per gallon do you get from one of those? It looks like it would be suited to one of those cross desert races where you have to bounce over sand dunes and stuff.

Actually the investment part really depends on where you live. I didn't lose any money by putting the lift on. I know I could sell my truck if I wanted to for at least $15k. The tires I just put on it were only $20 more then the ones that I put on my wife's Expedition. So that is of no concern. No I am not overcompensati ng for anything. It is funny how people say that about people with big trucks, fast cars, nice cars, or expensive cars. Just shows ignorance. You like what you like and I like what I like. There are actually trucks that come that high stock. Well maybe an inch or two lower but pretty close. The tipping and crashing is because some young punk who doesn't know how to drive or thinks now that it has bee lifted it is unstoppable is behind the wheel.
Dune the gas milage sucked before I put it on and it is going to suck a little bit more with the lift on. It has a V-8 5.7l 350 in it. It sucks fuel like there is no tomorrow. But she is my dream truck. I just have a little bit more to do to her. Oh and the bed is disconnected from the Cab. There is only about a 1/4 inch cab, it just looks bigger because the angle, it is black, and the lighting.
-
Dune it is disconnected, the back and front... The Bed is mounted solid to the frame to hold cargo/weight, unlike the front that is mounted on rubber disk for rider comfort.
-
Pawpaw you want a 65 chevelle and I want a 68 lol, damn good car. I want a chevy engine it it, not some modded plates and mounts.
Nice truck hell, we will have to take it and go hunting. Maybe do some mudding :)
-
jeez louise loaded, it's not spam. And besides hellraiser didn't get butthurt about it, so what's the problem? It was relevant to the topic, AND it had good information about the pros and cons of lifting a truck. Other than that, it was just my opinion.
Well, glad you got your dream car hellraiser, i hope i can get my dream car when i'm younger. It would kind of suck to be retired and driving an automatic corvette, like so many guys do.
-
No shit, I am going to build mine, ground up. I know pawpaw could appreciate a car built buy its owners hands. The car will help me get my finale want in life, then I can die happy :)

Thanks. Well it is one of my dream cars. I still want a 68 vette. Why do you want a automatic corvette, do you not know how to drive stick?

What is that, a gir, so you can stop banging sheep. I wish I was mechanically inclined to build a car from ground up. I mean the whole build to, I wouldn't want to send anything to anyone, well except for the shit that needs to be chromed.
-
You build her, you know her.

lol, no i said "it would suck to drive an auto corvette like so many guys do"
I said i don't want an auto corvette. I was referring to guys who just became retired, and decide to blow money on their dream car. Almost all of them get a brand new corvette, and it's usually automatic, negating the whole "i want a fast car" phase.
Quite the contrary, i love stick cars. My car right now(1971 Volkswagen Bus) is stick, and i wouldn't have it any other way. Except the shifter is like 3 feet long, and the travel of the shifter is like another 2.5 feet.
