Yeah, that fucker who banned me hit a nerve with me last night - till i remembered it was april fools.
You guys do have a great server going. All you need to do to bring it to #1 is to remove berlin and any other map that's not fit for planes :)

I always thought that ranking system was BS and takes all the fun out of playing. Whats the point in joining the server killing as many people as possible then leaving immediatley when you wanna chill for a bit, I can't think of anything more anti-social and anal.
The ranking system should be based on the average of your kill/death ratio. Not the ratio of your timeplayed/kills thats dumb.

Tell you the truth it makes no sense to me. I am usually always in the top three of each map I play and I am that far back. I have no idea how the base the ranking system. Is it by time and kills or what the fuck? Now that I am back, I play alot, and I am that far back in rank.

im guessing by wat i found using server spy, and on that pic of the top mafia players, it says loaded 1, followed by hellraiser 9 lol not sure but your low (or high on how u look at it) in rank for something. ^_^

Sure that would work for us with our type of play ;D but for the other players out there that just wouldn't go over well. If the stats were nothing but K/D ratio then think about it... As some of us can do, with a score of 255/0, our stats would be so far ahead of others. You could go into a server, play an hour, get a 255/0 and not play again for a month and still no one could get near your K/D, it would be imposable for another player to take your spot.
The way it is setup is better IMO, lets take me for example... Someone said I was #1 on the stats (really doesn't matter to me, my job as MAFIA is to piss off the pups so I kill them) so if the stats didn't have time used in them, it would take another player forever to get to my position. The way it is now if "you" play everyday and I stop playing for a week, then I have a very good chance of getting dropped from #1 and "you" taking my place, but using just K/D you would have a very hard time getting to me, time played is the key to the stat system.
And... The stats system as it is now is why "our" server is setup the way it is, "Modded Scoring" for higher scores. Point, if you are worried about stats you are wasting your time on another server playing, because on the other server you are losing big time scores and the combined scores WITH time are needed for your stats position.
All in all, fuck the stats, don't worry about them, kill the noobs and have fun playing the game with the tools you have that most others don't. You get "nothing" (well a headache if you watch them) for stats in BF42, this isn't BF2, COD4.

If the stats were nothing but K/D ratio then think about it...
The ServerSpy ranking system is based on Total score/Time played right?
Therefore on every other BF1942 server apart from ours the stats are based on K/D ratio because thats what their score system is based on. However on ours we award points for dying so thats why there's so many noobs high up on our server ranking list. Thats the reason why the ranking system fails for us.
But that doesn't explain why alot of MAFIA come top in most games but are ranked low.
The real fault with the ranking system is, it doesn't take into consideration high and low scoring maps. The noobs all materialise when Berlin comes on and even if they die alot or kill alot their gonna get a high score in a short time. Then they clear off on a low scoring map where it may take you 40 mins of flying around trying to find people to get 1st place with 50 kills.

It's all irrelevant anyway. I am not on the list, but who cares? This is MAFIA OWNS, we don't need some stats telling us something else because they are noob based.

ya, mafia ranking was the shit, i loved the stats page! It's been gone for a while now, we need to get that back up!

Yes and I think when we asked about having that again, Bone misunderstood and gave us the "Live Server Stats" on the right on the front page.
