At least 5,000 volts went through that bear when he touched the wire. Even more then that when it hit the transformer.

It is either 9,900v or 14,400v on residential poles... Anything as high as 50,000v would have to be 100ft+ in the air, any closer you could get hit by that power just by walking by.

I read that between 4,000v to 345,000v could pass through a power line. I thought the smaller number would run through residental power lines but dang 50,000v could do some damage.
