I was a 22-year-old starting my 3rd year at university and BF1942 comes out. I scrape by and just manage to graduate.

Changed Jobs from Private to public position
Bought a new Truck
Bought my 1st home
+ 8 months got married

I was 9 years old at a friend's house playing Halo Combat Evolved on his Xbox with him and his older brothers. Didn't start playing 1942 (even then, only in single player) for another month or two; I was still playing C&C Renegade.

But dammm we owned that game! sometimes people ask me: What is the best game you have ever played?
And i just smile and tell them Battlefield 1942... Most of them don't understand and they ask me why? explain why?
And I tell them i cant explain it... you should've been there, then you would understand.
I still miss it, i have not found a game like 1942.

Nice hope to see you there tomorrow; I was 12 back then didn't get into 1942 till a year later, until then I was mooching off of friends' video games, this happened to be one of them, I borrowed it one day I think and never had to give it back, I then bought the whole world war thing later I think; eh I forget, and it doesn't matter.

I was young too. And I remember good times on the Misfit server with the all bunkers. It was so awesome. Bf42 is the best game ever. Now I hope dice will make a game as bf42 but with frosbite engine.
