Q: Can I play online against players who have the original disc-based version?
A: Unfortunately, no. This Origin digital download version can only be played against other players who are using the same version. But since it’s free for everyone, everyone can download their own copy of the game. This version of the game will only show applicable (new) servers in the server browser.

only anyswitch and glitches; no hacks. I can try and mod hacks to fit the new 1942 if anyone knows the tools PM me. The difference between the versions is it is its own version I don't think there is any 1.6 or 1.61, the files are placed in program files/origin games

Anyswitch doesn't work for me. Btw, no hacks found atm. We need to wait I guess. Plus, I've tried to put some files I had edited before about soldiers'skins, it doesn't work too.
PS: Sorry for double post but I cannot edit my own last post.

Where can i get a copy of anyswitch? It's been a long time and I've lost the original I had. Too bad the old hacks dont work. I tried to use the old PRO hax made by Star, anykey, and farley but to no avail.

So I'm visiting and posting in this forums for the first time in YEARS. I used to play exclusively on the *MAFIA* servers back when I was still in grade school. I went by the name Bob the Builder, maybe somebody here remembers me. After hearing that BF1942 is now free, I immediately went here. I hope that you guys consider making a new CTF server, it was probably the most fun I've had in a computer game. Nothing beat flying around in super-speed cars, super-speed planes, and pulling off mass killings with C4 at spawn points. Visiting vanilla servers hit me with a wave of nostalgia, but it just wasn't the same! I miss the server where everybody had hacks, crashing the carriers was commonplace, and seeing flying boats was the norm. I'd love it if you guys came back with a new server!
Thanks for all the great times when I was growing up, I loved every minute of it.

All I would need to own some bitches would be something similar to Legion that works on the origin version, hope coders still are around..

We use a linux server, they've only provided windows dedicated server so at the moment no, it is version 1.612
