i installed it but its not working... i also installed the switchers of the v1.6 and v1.61... what do i need to do, where do i save the patch to?

when i DL it it goes into winzip and then i extracted it to BF1942, and another time under mods and patches or somthing...

ßlÃ¥kjáx... I can only assume you are going from 1.6 to 1.61.  Don't use the  1.61.tar.gz  (http://ftp://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/misc/bf1942-update-1.61.tar.gz) Use this one  v1.6_to_v1.61b .exe  (http://ftp://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/battlefield_1942_incremental_patch_v1.6_to_v1.61b.exe)

Let us know if that helped.

I can only think that is what he did, because the tar.gz is a zip file the other isn't.
