Ha Ha well spotted Chris, the exaust noise is excessively loud and frankly embarrassing at the moment. I don't know what was going through the guys head why he fitted it in the first place. I'm getting a standard exaust fitted on Monday which should be more economical and increase the power.

Well I'll boast its got overhead cams, fuel injection, a modified air filter and a lotta tlc. I did 115mph easy on a stretch of a 40mph road today without any rumbles. I did 40 to 115 in like 10 secs today so its no hampster. I ghess its a wolf in sheeps clothing. When I took it for a spin today it was leaving traffic lights like a formula 1 car like shit off a stick. I'd say its fast enough for someone who really just needs a mobile sterio system and I'm sure it will go faster on continental roads which will soon to be tested ;)

I never said it was a fast drive by. And I've destroyed every STi and Evo that has tried to race me. A "Finely tuned" one MAYBE puts down 320hp. They would need a bigger sucker to compete. Sorry.

He's only 16 years old so can only hold a provisional license in CA. If he actually did have a provisonal by law he'd have to be acompanied by a fully licensed adult driving an automobile to the age of 18. Now he suddenly owns a 30k truck and a 30k car a few months after I asked him on vent If he could drive and he said no and was planning on buying a new gun instead of car. PLEEEZE! No, with a provisional license in CA you are allowed to drive alone.

The only things he may not do are-
(A) Drive between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
(B) Transport passengers who are under 20 years of age.

He would only hold the provisional license for six months and then it becomes an unrestricted license. Trust me, coming from San Diego, 16 year old kids driving to school in new cars is an everyday thing.

The truck is worth $10,000 and The car is worth $5,000 ($15,000 is FAR from $60,000). I bought it from my dad for 8k, and the car is a gift since my mom got the van. I don't have a liscence, I still have my permit. I just bought the truck because my dad was selling it anyway.

When I got rid of it, I was able to run the 8th mile in the low 8 second mark (never did a 1/4 track, none were around where I lived), not overly fast but I was happy with that time on a street car... Believe it or not, I had that car until I was in my late 20s, sold it to my cousin, he still has it sitting in a field to this day, I have thought of getting it back and fixing it up many times, not to many people could say they still have their 1st car at my age if I did get it back... UM and still be with the girl I had sex in it with when I was 17 (yes, my wife).

The insurance on my Fiesta was £1300 when I was 17. You must of been paying at least £2200+ for a 1.9 GTI unless your folks owned and insured it and added you to their policy.

The WRX has 265hp which I must admit is one hell of an upgrade for me. My old car used to have 160hp xD

But the 2011 has the freaking awesome body kit.

My girl has about 3k miles on it and she gets about 40 miles per gallon highway. She had an 05 and was getting anywhere from 45-50 miles highway. Great mileage!

Altima's are great, and the new models are comfortable and slicker looking than anything Ford or Chevy. The only thing I had wrong with my Titan was at about 65,000 miles the battery terminals corroded away and they replaced everything for free. Go for it.

I want to stay with a sedan. Of course I won't be getting a new car for at least 3 more years, or whenever this car stops functioning. The new Maxima would also be pretty cool but I heard somewhere that the Altima's are a better deal than the Maximas.

to be honest they're all in a price bracket that's much too high for me, most of the review sites i checked said 22K+ depending on which package you choose. If dropping over 20 grand on a car isn't an issue though, I would be compelled to buy a really bad ass used car for that price, but maybe that's because I target used cars in the first place. A few that come to mind would be a used mini-cooper S (supercharged 6 speed fast as shit car with 30+mpg), 05 or so Subaru WRX sedan or wagon (really versatile, decent mpg and very fast), a used lexus (motors made by toyota, last for fucking ever and a panty dropper at that), any used Audi....

I dunno there's a lot of choices out there if you go the used car route. Those were just a few in mind that would cost you well under 20K, but i'm kind of a cheapskate so maybe used cars aren't your cup of tea. But just to be clear if you buy ANY new car, the value will drop tremendously in 8-12 months...so why not just buy something that's a few years old? Just my two cents....

Is the WRX a 5 or 6 speed? Yeah i know what you mean...265hp is a shit ton for a little sedan, and the turbo adds like +5 panty dropping points

WRX is a 5 speed, the sti is a 6 speed. Nevertheless it is a head turner :D

The exhaust gives extra attention, but no cop attention, it's just perfect!

Total spent: $2000 for the car, and about $7000 in parts. So for $9000 I had a very fast compact sports car. Basically brand new after restoration. Have owned it for 7 years. I am on the second block but I can get blocks all day for $300 bucks. I spent alot of time doing this yes, but I know how it ticks, and know when I can push my limits. Thats the power of built not bought.
Oh and by the way..Its at 390whp.

holy fuck, 18lbs of boost is pretty impressive. My car has almost half that, and it scoots pretty good.

I guess you can give that argument, but I'd take a subie over a honda any day. 390hp is good if you'll be doing track. But for a daily driver and the occassional snow trips and such, I'd take the awd and looks of the wrx :D

I don't care really, all I do is work and live. :( no social life, Have a hard time understanding why certain things like going to clubs or bars are "fun."
Maybe if I ever come to the UK, you can show me a could Pub crawl and freaking about Panthers on your front lawn.

But anywho I am still working at my grocery job part-time but getting 40 hrs mostly and getting opportunities to write orders and manage so hopefully MIT. But I am doing Lyft which is like Uber, hoping that will help with my Social awkwardness, plus network me with some people maybe.
