The moment you've all been waiting for, FH2 is available for download right now (1.13 GB). It is an entire conversion of BF2 to a WWII mod, and it looks fucking amazing. Here are some videos on it, and the password for the file will be released friday. So basically you can download it now ahead of time so you don't get a download from a raped server, and play it on friday at 20:00 GMT.

For all the WWII + realism buffs out there, this is THE GAME to get, oh and of course it's free.
For me, what sets a professional mod apart from a crappy mod are the new effects added in, the skinning, and of course the weapon animations. All the animations are first rate, better than anything EA or Ubisoft could spit out. You won't be disappointed, and there's like 300 people seeding it right now, so your download should be fast as shit.
Some things the game has that are worth mentioning...
-one shot bolt action rifle kills
-weapon sway
-an ass ton of WWII weapons
-fuck worthy skins and vehicles
-badass fighter planes and medium bombers
-20mm nosegun vapor trails on the planes
-smoke with realistic physics(smoke swirls when a car drives through a smoke cloud)
-blood
-bayonets
-anti personnel mines
-mine detector
-sexy volkswagens
-DAK uniforms
-awesome voice-overs
-and there's a tool that will be released with the game that adds the lovely "buddy list" featured in BF42 (missing in BF2) so you can have that back. And they have incorporated Teamspeak and VOIP on their servers, depending on your preference
-shitty hit-boxes from BF2 are COMPLETELY fixed
-rifle grenades
-commander's cuppola view when in a tank
-realistic recoil/iron sights/weapon damage
-revolvers. Fuck yeah, they have revolvers!

yeah, they passworded the file so once they release the password, then everyone will join the servers at once. They released the torrent early so people could get a head start on the download and have it ready to install by friday.
If they hadn't released the torrent, then all the servers hosting the file would get fucking raped, 400+ people trying to download a file as big as FH2 at the same time would mean super ownage to your bandwidth, nice 56k speed if you're lucky.

wow, im going to download this game asap, damn i thought it would never come out. I always loved FH for bf1942, but this should be even better. Oh and BJ, it did come out 8)

You dont need a ranked server for it, so it wont be that expensive, would be awesome to run a FH2 server. But when we set one up, we better dont say its a *MAFIA* server, since people who play FH hate cheaters.

yeah, i was gonna mention that too. FH2 is a completely different style of game play, it's more about fun than owning. I don't know about you guys, but i wouldn't hack on FH2. It just wouldn't be worth it, and kind of disrespectful after their 2.5+ years of developing a great game for free, just so we can hack on it.
And if we did get an FH2 server, if we turned off PB and made it known that it was a mafia server, it would never be populated. We are the scum of the universe to them.

But seriously, i was just throwing that out there because if we ran a no-rules non-PB server it would just be a waste of money, almost all FH players are die hard realism/anti-cheat fans.

yep, you need bf2, 1.41 update, and that's it. i've been playing it for 5 hours straight. It's excellent. Bayonets are great for clearing out rooms.
And there's over 90 servers, more than any other mod for bf2 or bf42. Oh, there's also a night map....and it has flare guns. BONER!
Seriously, everyone get this game, so excellent. Can someone tell me where the screenshots folder is for bf2?
